In continuation of the rich tradition of the Leadership Talk Series, we got an opportunity to interact with not one but two eminent business leaders, Ms. Kathleen Barret, President and CEO of International Institute of Business Analysis and Mr. Ashish Mehta,Vice President and Global Practice Head- Business Analysis at Keane Inc.

Marketing Club Meet - VARTALAAP with Mr. Sumant Bhattacharya









Mr Sumant  Bhattacharya (creative director-Leo-Burnette) took us through a inside view of an advt agency & its critical functions like client servicing, strategic alignment & creative development. Relevant issues like the advt mix of various media (TV,print,radio,activation,outdoors) were discussed in details which invited inquisitive questions from the club members. Practical process of an advt creation was the best part of the whole discussion where in Mr. Bhattacharya tried to create an add for a fictitious telecom agency based on the brief formulated by the group. The class had a outburst of laughter on certain occasions when a few trivia were shared on different product categories & their communication strategies.

Entrepreneur Club Invites "Ask Laila" Co-Founder, Mr. B.K. Birla

Entrepreneur club of IIIMLucknow IPMX batch 2011-2012 invited Mr. B.K Birla, one of the founding members of Asklaila for an informal discussion with the IPMX students under the Entrepreneur Connect Program.

Mr. Birla shared his experiences on venturing out with AskLaila, a local search engine which is currently operational in 752 cities of India.

Starting from the launch of Asklaila to going into the myriad aspects of doing a business, Mr. Birla gave us a sneak peek into the life of an entrepreneur. Mr. Birla helped us in understanding how does a revenue model of a company work, how the data is gathered for local search engines, how does a company process that data and last but not the least how a company handles the ever changing dynamics of local search engine markets!

LEADERSHIP TALK SERIES- STOP “WORKING”!!!!!!!


After many moons of harping by the IIML admin, we finally got the opportunity to kick-start the Leadership Talk Series on 20th May 2011. First up on deck was a man who had made a habit of facing adversity eye to eye and trumping it with clinical precision.

Mr.Vijay Shekar Sharma, Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of One97, was kind enough to accept our invitation, grace us with his presence and regale us with his talk and very early on it was evident as to why he was regarded as a renowned industry speaker.

The Essentials of Starting up!




The entrepreneur Club organized an introductory lecture on "The essentials of starting up" by Abhishek Nirjar.

The session had nuggets of information  about different entrepreneurial ventures undertaken by IIML graduates.

The disparate mix of ventures such as ShareurJoyZiceLife ,ShoeLaundry  and L4Lacademia  left us speechless with the ingenious list of ideas and immaculate execution.

From Kelley To Delhi






Crouching in the velvet cream colored sofa of the college reception hall, I was dreaming of the bed lying idle in my hostel room, which after a long day of mine in the class, was enticing me cruelly to embrace it and forget about the High-Tea arranged in the evening to confluence us with students from Kelley School of Business, USA.Just when my body posture was gradually taking in the safety of the sofa, the students from Kelley gushed into the hall with such energy and vibrancy that I, as if in a reflex action, sprang to my feet at once and rushed towards them with my right hand extended.
